Observe the types of pots from the site and observe the designs on the pots carefully
http://www.ancientgreece.co.uk/dailylife/explore/pot_shapes.html
Pottery has been the most useful find because it was often decorated with scenes of everyday life. We could work out what life was like by studying the pictures on the pots.
Pots came in all sorts of shapes and sizes depending on their purpose, and were often beautifully decorated with scenes from daily life. Sometimes these scenes reflect what the pot was used for. Greeks made small pottery bowls and cups for drinking, middle-sized pots for carrying and cooking, elegant vases for decoration, and large jars for storing wine and foods. Potters in the city states of Corinth (A city state in Southern Greece-Famous for its pottery.
Someone or something from Corinth is known as Corinthian) and Athens made beautiful pottery.
The Greeks believed that the goddess Athena invented the potter's wheel. Black animal figures are typical ofCorinthian pottery. Greek potters also made pottery decorated with red figures on a black background.
